Riley Timmer is an alt-country writer and multi-instrumentalist influenced by the likes of Ray Lamontagne, Elliott Smith, Neil Young, and City and Colour. Hailing from outside of Washington, DC, he is currently based out of Nashville, TN. He's released 4 official projects to date, building a profile throughout Virginia and beyond. At only 22, Timmer has moved through experiments with indie rock, traditional folk and pop rock until settling into an authentic and honest alt-country/Americana niche. He puts his lyrics on full display in his work, betraying an introspective, thoughtful and uniquely earnest nature that stands out within his genre. In his free time, Timmer enjoys looking at camper vans on Craigslist, going on walks in the park with his beagle, and daydreaming of an Appalachian Trail thru-hike. His latest album, Weather and Other Interference, was released in late July of 2019.
